Ateliers Höherweg e.V. is an artist’s organization founded in 1995 that remodeled a city owned, turn of the century building into a spacious studio building where twelve artists can have their own working spaces. In 1996 Höherweg e.V. Ateliers started its artist in residence program. Since then it has been invited three to five international artists per year to live and work at the residency. During their stay, guest artists create new pieces or bodies of art as well as they get an inside view on the art scene and the museum / gallery landscape of the Rhineland.
